Nothing close to a Hambone but a few Longkangs

Dear Sufi,

I think the last time I played bowling was in Jan 2009 - just before I got pregnant. It was Aker Solutions' bowling tournament where a dude with long hair trying to hit on me - only to find out I'm married. We were in the same team (I forgot his name) and after one hour of playing and answering all of his questions about myself, he asked me:

Dude with long hair: Kampung you kat mana?
Me: KL
Dude: Oh, so u raya kat KL je la dari kecik?
Me: Yup. Except last year.
Dude with long hair: Last year u raya kat mana?
Me: Kampung husband.

I can still remember how his face expression changed.

Dude with long hair: You dah kawin? Bila?
Me: Last year. Dah 1 year.
Dude with long hair: Dah ada anak?
Me: Setakat ni belum lagi.
Dude with long hair: Haa (he sat back)

Kesian jugak after a while I can hear his friends laugh at him. Not that i don't want to tell him earlier but he kept showering me with all sort of questions that doesn't even come close to anything related to hint or reveal my status. We became good friends but later lost contact when I "left" Aker.
Anyways,

I usually bowl over company events, a couple of times with my uni friends and maybe once or twice with your Putrajaya's uncles and aunties.

Today, after three years, I participated in IBM - MDL Bowling Day @ U Bowl in One Utama. I arrived rather late, after spending almost 20 minutes wrinkling my nose in the car trying to find an empty parking bay. Jumping off from my car, I saw T1 (my bos) and Hoi were still struggling in the car.

As I reached Lane 29, Chris exclaimed in excitement, "Aqmar!" . Kelakar pun ada tengok muka dia cakap macam tu. I rarely talk to him - only twice, during team lunch at Muhibah, TTDI because we sat on the same table and the second time while we were waiting for the lift, he unexpectedly asked me "You're Aqmar, right?".

And so we got dumped by two of our teammates. Ok jugak main berdua, banyak la chance boleh main kan?

I enjoyed playing duo with Chris. He's not bad too.

Tadaaa..Team 29 - Chris & Mama. I wonder what's our ranking. I left early before the results is announced.

kkkk

Yeah itu diaaaa bola no 9 je yang larat kuderat ni baling

1st round - not bad eh? Me playing MIA (that's me, siapa punye keje la letak nama tu?) &  Din

2nd round - me playing MIA & Lee (apasal lagi score when playing as Lee? Chris pun sama jugak, better playing as Din)

Max, playing next to our lane - good player and I think might be one of the top 6 teams

Pretty ladies but only one bowled. Nurul, Zaira and Aunty Faz (thank you for snapping my picture above!)

Aunty ni lagiii & Yoke Kwee. The light snack was generously supplied by Zaira

Kak Maina (an old friend of Papa from MRSM and UTP), Putri & Me :)

Chan Mali Chan ho hoi! Earlier in the morning I was ber-rebuting the logic blocks that Joey was selling. Sorry Sufi, I only managed to get you the Tower Blocks, Wooden Train, Floating Whale with Manual Pump. Ciskek punye Chan!

Some of the Muslim ladies in my co. Kak Waiza, Me, Fadela, Azie, Kak Sha, Kak Maina and Khafida :)

I had a good time and I'm excited to wait for Monday to look at the results, not that I'm anticipating to win anything but you always want to know how you did kan?

Sufi, I've always enjoyed sports. Be it outdoor or indoor. I'm not a great player just average but I do love the excitement and the feeling just wanted to do better next time :)

Before I end, here's one the toys I bought from Joey. You said, "Mama, Choo! Choo!"

You immediately took off the blocks and put them on again. You gave me that amazement look when you learned that you can detach the coaches.

We have a busy day tomorrow, Sufi. Jog in the morning, me to cook lunch, accompany Makcik Na to her dentist appointment and later play futsal at night.

Hambone: Four consecutive strikes in bowling.
Look at the scores and you can know how many spares and strikes I did :)

Love,
Mama
