Dear Sufi,
After a series of Iftar at your grandparents' place, we'd an Iftar with my good friends from UTP. We've planned this meet up even before Ramadhan to make sure most of us can plan out and block the date. Alhamdulillah, five of us turned out at Aunty's Fara's place in Desa Idaman, Puchong.
| Papa asyik main dengan Jasmin, 1 year 5 months. |
| Jasmin bagi Papa je yang dukung. Orang lain semua dia tak nak. |
I must say I enjoyed this meet up very much. Much better than the previous gathering in Delicious @ Dua. Smaller crowds yet deeper conversations. Place is cozy with great food.
After Maghrib prayer, we were lepaking in Aunty Fara's room reminicsing our memories as housemates! Sigh. I missed the good old times with them! Kalau lah Aunty Nojie, Aunty Nadia, Aunty Raja and Aunty Ain ada sekali sure lagi best! We'd great laughs repeating some of our usual activities eleven years back! Wow! It has been eleven years!
Now let me introdude you to them.
| Aunty Nurul came back all the way from Miri. She's an Engineer in Petronas. Her husband didn't join us that night. |
| The hostest cum the masterchef of the day! Aunty Fara is an Engineer in a local company in Subang. |
| Aunty Anne's whos migrating to Abu Dhabi on the fifth day of Raya. A former Honeywell Engineer. |
| The husbands. When I see this photo I suddenly realize - the husbands are all UTPians from different batches. |
| Sufi with Uncle Imran, Aunty Ann's husband. |
| Tah apa lah Sufi dok borak ngan Uncle Imran |
| Apam pokodot kebanggaan Aunty Nurul |
| Aunty Fara's sambal udang! Yummy! |
| Aunty Elis's sambal sotong. Yummy! |
| Sides for Nasi Lemak |
| Aunty Anne's watermelon |
| Baru lepas discuss the venue for the next Iftar/open house - Abu Dhabi, London, Germany, NZ and bla bla bla. |
| Hoping we can add some new members to the kids crowd! |
Aunty Elis and Aunty Anne left around 10.30pm. Papa was watching a drama on TV3 and you were entertained by Aunty Fara's younger sister in her room. And that left me all the time and freedom to continue gossiping with Aunty Fara and Aunty Nurul. The topic was mainly on fashions and bloggers. Kelakar. Masuk je topic politic, cepat2 revert back to hijabters topic. I was thinking of Aunty Nojie at that time - wishing she was there having the conversations with us. Sigh. Great to spend quality time with the ladies! I must thank you Papa for being such a sporting husband. I love you sayang :p Ngeh Ngeh. Mama pun selalu OK aje kalau Papa nak hang out ngan member2 Papa!
Sufi,
I hope you will have some great and close friends too - Childhood friends, teenage friends, uni friends and even colleagues. InsyaAllah.
Love,
Mama
Eh? So apa yang Mama bawak for the potluck? We brought 2 tubes of Walls ice creams since we can't locate the nearest and easiest way to get to Baskins Robins.
