LOBSTERS with LOVE

Dear Sufi,

I got up yesterday morning with a nasty back pain and an unexpected nausea. Not in my best mood, we just stayed home and missed out Imran's 2nd birthday party at Aunty's Wai new place. Sorry Wai and Imran to miss it again for the 2nd time :(

After we had my simple three course meal for lunch, we slept thru the evening which later helps to ease my backache. The nausea just disappeared by then...hmm which reminds me I have not return Aunty Syai's call/text.

Later in the evening, after we had keropok lekor, we went out to OTK to buy some ingredients for my special dinner on Mother's Day...some zucchini, English Parsley, lemon and butter.

Ahh..so it was Mother's Day :)

We celebrated Mother's Day a few days in advance... You started wishing and singing for me on Thursday evening.

Selamat Hari Ibu...
Selamat Hari Ibu....
Selamat Hari Ibu.....
Selamat Hari Ibu.......

You sang it using the birthday song melody. You make me smile over and over again :)

And here's the card you made with Teacher Ida's help.

Thank you Sufi..I loved it!

And what do we have for dinner?
Since we don't go out to celebrate and I've procrastinated to prepare this meal...it was the perfect timing to serve it!

You were 'menyibuking' with the main ingredient ...

Thank you, Papa! Tapi udang apakah ini?

The Sabah's lobsters cost Papa RM100...Papa suruh try 2 ekor je dlu...Papa tak confident kat Mama kah? hehe. Mama pun tak confident sebenarnye!

Then I asked you to leave the kitchen because I was about to boil the lobsters and it would be dangerous for you. Being a good daughter, you abide and went to the living room, started doing your homework. Papa was performing his Maghrib prayer so from time to time I checked you out to make sure you're ok all by yourself. So I was astonished when I walked closer to you, looking at your exercise book. It was the first time you completed your homework without our supervision neither our help. Good job Sufi! So proud of you!

Budak rajin buat homework :)

Yeay! You did it Sufi!
Which reminds me of another routine that you just developed over the weekend...Dengan suara sengau and a lot of pronunciation improvements to be done...

Sufi: Subhanallah, walhamdulillah, wala ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar

Sejuk hati Mama..anak Mama dah pandai berzikir lah :) Alhamdulillah. . . :) :)

Ok, so what happened to my lobsters?
Tadaa...
Papa tolong cut into two...Tadaa untuk Papa :) I then poured on my lemon butter herbs gravy

Alhamdulillah menjadi...and the taste - ok la not bad at all! I just boiled the lobster in a pot for a few minutes and the gravy was a super quick one - melted some butter in a saucepan, squeezed in some Lemon juice and some chopped English parsley. Siap!

After the simple and light dinner, Papa dah tak ingat dah kat kita...Maka bermulalah episode Sufi kena marah sebab asyik pot pet pot pet, walking across and purposely blocking the TV. Tapi kira ok lah..tak sia-sia...tengok la muka orang puas hati di saat-saat akhir match...

Kesian btol anak Mama ni..refuse to sleep..nak jugak teman Papa tengok bola sampai habis..walaupun almost midnight...

My dear Sufi,

Since I'm a daughter myself too...I bought a Tiramisu cake for Nenek....
A simple cake hoping that she smiles

Ni baru potong muka dah happy...Nenek ate more than 1/4 at one go!

Nenek kata sedap - a nice change of a choc cake

A complementary yellow Carnation
So there goes a simple Mother's Day celebration with my loved ones... Alhamdulillah Allah masih panjangkan umur kita semua. . .

I LOVE YOU MAK. I LOVE YOU SUFI.

Love,
Mama Sufi lah!

Erkk...I forgot to bring my camera so all photos taken with my camera phone. And ohh..I'm wondering why my menstrual period this time around caused me to have nausea. Backache is a norm to me. Hmmm... I have not told you about what I did sneaking out from office last Friday evening, right? Hehehe..
