Trying. . .

Dear Sufi,

Nine days late. Tested negative. Brown spotting come and go. Could it be blighted ovum?

My period cycle has always been a fixed number of days. So it was not too hard for us to do family planning. However, somewhere around June 2008, my period was late a few days. I was nervous. So was Papa. We both were -  as we were still putting ourselves in the red zone.

So I did a home pregnancy test. Turned out a vague positive. I remembered how I felt. Eventhough I was nervous but secretly I was hoping I am pregnant :) A few days later, we went to the clinic. Another vague positive. So the doctor told us - I am pregnant but just keep the news to ONLY both of us. If I got my period in a few days time, then I have undergo a threatened miscarriage.

A few days later, I got my period. Dissapointed. Life goes on.

In January 2009, Papa told me he was ready and not to wait anymore. I agreed. The second time we tried - positive. Alhamdulillah. You were too eager to see us so you came out on 36 weeks on the dot. Doctor Siti kata you're a premature baby. When I came back from the OT, the first thing I asked Papa how much you weighed. Mama asyik nangis je asyik fikir why you came out too soon and why I had to undergo a c-sect procedure.
Doctor Siti advised me to wait at least 2 years before trying to conceive again.

So now we are ready.

Love,
Mama
