Je Je Je Jamie
Dear Sufi,
I went to boarding school in June 1998. It was already mid of form four. I must admit I had a hard time adjusting myself to everything and making friends. But within one and a half year, I've made a few (yes, only 3-4 of them) dear and awesome friends. Today, you met two of them :)
It was a last minute plan - which turned out well. I saw Aunty Intan was online in YM on Friday evening and gave a quick shout out to her. After chatting for almost an hour and trying to contact Aunty Che Wan, we decided to meet up at Marmalade @ Publika. Thanks to Aunty Su Ee who suggested the place (we need a cozy place with a baby and a toddler to occupy) and the great map since we've never been to Publika before.
We arrived at 1.30pm and the haze was bad - too bad for an outdoor shoot. We postponed our morning shoot to some other day when we have a clear blue sky and clean air to breath. These are some photos while we are waiting for both of the aunties :)
Sufi,
I had a super great time with both of my high school friends! Catching up with each other lives and we just went crazy! We were laughing just like we used to do! Ah....The good old times! Aunty Intan haven't change a bit! Still blur and I simply love the way she talks - she makes me smile! but somehow Aunty che Wan has tone down a bit on her decibel!
Aunty Intan updated us on her new Turkish-American boyfriend and Aunty Che Wan on her unexpected 14weeks tummy! And both of them keep telling me - Jamie, you makin kurus lah.
I only get to know both of them when I was in form 5. We became classmates when we were in 5 Delima. Aunty Che Wan sat behind me. Aunty Intan always lepak at Aunty Che Wan's place and they always trying to get me into their conversations. Just in a few weeks I think, Aunty Intan transferred to the class next door (I forgot what class is that). But she was my dorm mate - Cempaka Dorm if I'm not mistaken. Our friendship developed and we were constantly TRYING to study together - yes we ended up GOSSIPING!
Reminiscing our Aspuri days .... studying after lights off in the dark (using only the corridor lights) cramping our legs in between of Aunty Intan's locker and bed, studying at the study room after lights off - trying very very hard to control our laughing volume and selalu kena tegur supaya slow skit suara. Hehe. Seriously, I don't know what I studied in Form 4 and 5! Hahaha. That explains my SPM results :p Aunty Intan with her crackers biscuits and Dutch Lady milk, wearing her mom's pretty baju kurungs to prep classes, the only one who has mobile phone - the flip black and blue Erickson. Aunty Che Wan who always be the middle person - Jamie, si polan kirim salam. Jamie, I rasa dia ni minat u. Dia tu pun minat u. Siapa nak minat I macam ni? Yes. that is Aunty Che Wan! But the end of the day, she was the first among us who got a boyfriend!
Me and my friends being 30 but acting 13!
Sufi, I'm dying to see Aunty Fizah - my VBF from Kusess. She's teaching in Sabah now. Ada rezeki, I'll tell you about her too. So much to tell about her, she even spent an Aidilfitri with me and Nenek since she didn't go back to her hometown in Ranau, Sabah. Ahh I'm smiling just thinking of her :) Tapping her fingernails with a standard melody and I had to practice for quite sometime to do that. Maybe she never knows about this, but when I think of her, I'll tap my fingernails too - the same melody :)
It's been a while since I hug my friends that tight! :)
Sufi, I hope you'll find and make great friends too :)
Love,
Mama

Aunty Intan's short and sweet conversation with me...
Aunty Intan: You didnt wish Che Wan's birthday? Jamie, its a sin!

As we were trying to find our way to the park and Marmalade..something unexpected happened.
Mama: Yang, macam wanie..wanie ke tu?
Papa: Eh....?
Mama: Yang...
The lady in the distance gave us a smile!
Mama: Yang, betol lah... Wanieeeee....
And both of us hug so tight! I was TOO SURPRISE to see my BF with her new appearance and with a male friend...
Aunty Wanie: Maiiiii...OMG!
Mama: Wanieeeeeeeeee
Aunty Wanie: Kita nampak Sufi dulu. Then tengok cap tahu la Zamir lah tu! Anyway, Mai, Zamir, this is my fiance.
Mama: Whatttttttttttttttttttttttt???? Wanie tak bgtahuuuu
Wanie: Mai, awak 1st yang tahu ok after my family. It just happened recently...
And the conversation went on for almost 10minutes I guess. I felt like terkena renjatan elektrik with all her shocking updates! Rasa nak ketuk je Aunty Wanie time tuh!
The super thin Aunty Wanie! Double super thin!!! I think she must have lost 15-20kgs since high school. And I look like I'm pregnant la pulak!
After the short meet up with Aunty Wanie, we finally found the playground with the fake grass. Marmalade was just at the end of the playground.
A good family hang out restaurant since they're outdoor and indoor kids corner. Sufi pun layan diri!
Main masak2 at the indoor kids corner in Marmalade
Thank you sayang sebab demam2 pun sanggup ikot! Sloppy kisses to Encik Zamir!
Papa had Pilaf Rice with Morocon Lamb Shank
I had Pilaf Rice with Salmon Fillet. We love the cream sauce - it added a great taste to the salmon.
Walaupun Papa demam, makan tetap berselera!

My favourite memory with Aunty Che Wan - At Mid Valley: "Bang, kalau nak rape kat sini berapa harga?" And both of us were laughing our heart out! She meant to say "wrap".
Sarah Irdina Rose, Aunty Che Wan's daughter
Aunty Che Wan and hubby, Uncle Shahril
You were exhausted and beyak twice - "Mama nak Mama basuhkan. Mama basuh best"
Me and my friends being 30 but acting 13!
The ladies!
All of us! :)
